Environmental Restoration Through Education
If you’re curious about how to start adding native plants to increase the visual interest of your yard while also creating an environment that is beneficial and protective to the local wildlife, come talk to us. Our staff can make recommendations based on your space.
Maybe your goal is to remove some (or most!) of your lawn and replace it with landscaping that will add to the visual aesthetic of your outdoor space and cut down on mowing, overseeding and fertilizing. Maybe your goal is to rely less on irrigation or watering during the hottest periods of the summer. Maybe you’re looking for people who can help troubleshoot particular challenges in your yard by identifying and eliminating diseases and pests through organic and environmentally responsible methods.
What We Offer
Variety
We stock and source hundreds of species of native plants from trusted growing partners located throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. There are so many beautiful alternatives to the non-native and sometimes invasive plants traditionally used in home landscapes. The plants we carry are adapted to the local climate conditions and necessary for native pollinators and ecosystems. If a customer wants a particular species that we don’t have, we’re happy to ask around to see if any of our growers have it.
Knowledge
Our seasoned staff will help you select the right native plants for your project, big or small. No matter the soil, light, or moisture conditions of your space, we are ready to help you make your native plant garden a success!
Industry Recognition
We are the only native plant retailer in the Piedmont that is highly recommended by the North Carolina Native Plant Society and recommended without reservation by the New Hope Audubon Society.
Native & Pollinator Plant Garden Center
We offer hundreds of native species that both encourage beauty and promote complete and healthy ecosystems. Native plants provide ecological benefits for all types of wildlife (including pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds).

The `Blue Note` Blue-Eyed Grass is a special member of the Iris family.
It`s striking blue/violet blooms appear in the late spring to early summer. This native, self seeding plant has an extensive history and is loved by many. Not only is it beautiful, but it`s also a great food source for our birds, bee`s and butterflies!
Even with this cold weather, our Gaultheria `Cherries Berries` Wintergreens are thriving!
🍒This evergreen ground cover produces beautiful, waxy white flowers that bloom during mid Spring. Following these flowers are striking berries. They grow to be the size of cherries, hence the name. `Cherrie Berries` start to appear around late Summer to late Winter.
🍒These berries are an important source of food for birds this time of year. However, we can eat them too! The most common way of consuming these berries are to be made into a tea. Some people eat them raw too! They have a "Wintergreen Mint" taste to them.
